I Am... Toffee Macadamia Nut Cookies

I love giving gifts – there's something about giving someone something picked out especially for them that just warms my heart. So cheesy, but true, and plus, I love cheese. This year HP approached me to #reinventgiving by giving someone the new Spectre x360. Mike and I had an in-depth discussion on who we thought we should gift it to. We wanted someone who would really make use of it, both creatively and professionally. I didn't really want to gift someone a powerful laptop and just have them watch YouTube on it, so we narrowed it down to a few choices. In the end we chose Logan, who is an all around good guy, loyal friend, and fun person to eat sushi with.

I Am... Friday Finds 11.25.16

Happy Black Friday Friends! Mike and I are in Japan, traveling around the South so we're missing out on all the Black Friday sales, but I'm not complaining because Japan is my jam and I am in heaven, eating ALL the things. We're going to be here for a while and I could not be more excited. I just love Christmas in Japan. There are countless illuminations, Christmas music everywhere, and festive foods. It's pretty nice but we never use it because we like hanging out at our giant kitchen table when we work. I Am... Lemon & Dill Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Mike and I went to watch Arrival the other day. Have you guys seen/heard of it? It's based on a short story and while I really enjoyed it, Mike was a little more, meh. The basic premise, without giving anything away, is that aliens arrive on earth and a linguist needs to figure out how to communicate with them and why they've come to earth. It fits right into my obsession with post apocalyptic/sci-fi type things.
